Roleplays would be good, but what we really need is a creative spark and a super good idea. Think of Blueeyedboy's old forum. It had that New Life thing and it briefly had a 'run your own amusement park' thing. Remember when ZTR set up giant diary where everyone ran small feds and ZTR gave us money which we could buy WWE wrestlers with? Remember when we had different types of elimination games, which ran the same way as your video game mascot tournement. We had wrestling ones, anime ones and even a star wars one.

Those are the ideas I'm talking about. Maybe a roleplay with a very interesting backstory.

Maybe we could scribble down ideas in a thread and everyone will give opinions and we could tweak them until we have something good?

I'm with you guys whatever you decide ^^

Gaming is a good main topic for a forum with how big it is now and there is a lot to talk about (as long as there's a place to talk about anime and amvs too)

We'll need to figure out ways to advertise the forum
I find Youtube is a good place to start
If you guys can think up a catchy name we can make 'commercials' and put them on youtube
We used to make them for ADW and it was really fun to do

Also we can pm or leave comments on random people's pages that have similar interests as the forum
That's how I joined ADW (which led me here btw)

Also maybe we can get somebody to make a banner and get a nice color scheme going
Something that stands out but isn't hard on the eyes

I'd say leave the banner to Ped, but I'm not really sure about that since he stopped doing GFX lol. Heh, the name's a big problem though, I have no idea what we could call it right now, haha.

So let's wrap up.

The forum purpose is discussion of Games. We start from Consoles to PC games. Should the forum expand, we will create a General Discussion forum. For the mean time, we can create a general discussion thread in a forum that's most active.

We also need to set up the admin team.

Who's gonna be admin? We need to have least two. We don't need moderators due to the small community. So, so far we only need two staff members.

I know I'm a bit slow here, but whatever.

I like the forum how it is. New people are always a plus, though.

Sapp is doing a great job as Admin (I think ZTR is, too [an Admin, that is, not doing a good job as one xd]) so they are fine.

New members = definite n00bs, so be prepared.

I'm still a bit confused as to how the forum needs to change from how it is at the moment.

Look at the forum's condition presently. It's dead. Only a small group of people come here and I really doubt new people would join in here involuntarily. (Unless someone suggests this forum and convinces the person, no one would join this.) Why? Like I've said before, the forum serves no definite purpose, we should have at least one FIXED motive. Something we could focus on. If not, we're like dogs chasing its tails.

Other than that, the reason why I'd like to renew this forum entirely is because of the constant spambot attacks. They seem to get worse every week.

Well, I like your plan, but I do think that maybe one "General Discussion" section could be made, instead of just putting one off-topic thread into a random gaming section lol. Well, Ped, you were at a time an SVR 2009 mod on Neo, you think you'd be able to convince some members to that forum?
