Week 4

Pyro goes off as thousands of fans are in attendance for yet another sold-out Monday Night Raw!

Michael Cole: Good evening, everyone! My broadcast partner Jerry "The King"
Lawler and I would like to welcome you to Monday Night Raw as we call every match tonight!

King: And boy do we have some card tonight! This Sunday at Armageddon,
John Cena is challenging Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Title, but tonight, these two will
square off in an exhibition match!

Michael Cole: That will certainly be a match to see! But coming up right now
is another Pre-Armageddon match, champion vs. challenger!

John Morrison's theme song hit the PA system, as one-half of the World Tag Team Champions made
his way to the ring, receiving some heat from the crowd here tonight.

Morrison: Ohhhhhh....YEAH!

The crowd booed Morrison.

Morrison: I can just feel it tonight...It's the inflicting aura of the deities telling
me how successful I'm going to be here tonight, and at Armageddon. Tonight....John Morrison is
going to ignite all of you...Extremely excite Michael Cole...And set tonight on FYYYYAAA!!!
So if you all would be so kind to join me ..... DREAM.... LOVE.... SCREAM!!! --

John Morrison was cut off as Rey Mysterio's theme blasted the PA system. Rey stood on the
stage with a microphone in hand, but was unable to talk as Morrison began to speak first.

Morrison: Rey...You have some nerve coming out and interrupting me before
I finished speaking. You know, we don't allow interruptions....At the Palace of Wisdom.

Rey: This isn't the "Palace of Wisdom", it's Monday Night Raw! And as long
as you annoy these fans with your useless bickering, I'll interrupt you all I want!

The fans cheered Rey, as he then rushed to the ring to face Morrison.

Match 1 - John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio

Rey was on the offense as soon as the starting bell rang, as Rey repeatedly punched Morrison in
the face. Morrison retaliated by kneeing Rey in the gut, then Irish Whipped him to the turnbuckle.
Morrison ran up to Rey in the corner, but Rey kicked Morrison in the face right when he ran up to
him. Afterwards, Rey climbed to the top rope, and leaped off heading toward Morrison, giving him
a Hurricanranna. Rey went for the pin-fall, but the count was stopped at '2' as Morrison was close
enough to the ropes to put his leg on them. Rey, frustrated, picked Morrison back up, and attempted
a front suplex, however Morrison countered and reversed it into one of his own front suplexes.
Afterwards, Morrison nailed Rey with a Shooting Star Splash, and went for the pin-fall: "1, 2, --"
Rey kicked out! Morrison became frustrated after the near pin-fall, then started stomping Rey.
Morrison then picked Rey up and attempted another front suplex, but Rey countered it as he landed
right behind Morrison standing on his feet. At that moment, Rey drop-kicked Morrison from behind,
and Morrison landed in between the ropes, the perfect position for Rey's signature "619!"
Rey attempted the "619" on Morrison and was successful. Rey followed up by attempting the
"West Coast Pop", however Morrison caught Rey in mid-air, and gave Rey a powerbomb pin
afterwards, grabbing the ropes for leverage, unknown to the referee: "1, 2, 3!"

Michael Cole: How did the referee not see that?!

King: See what? I have no idea what you're talking about, Cole!

Michael Cole: Oh, forget it! Anyways, please welcome the recently re-hired
Mike Adamle as he interviews the Intercontinental Champion, Matt Hardy!

As Morrison celebrated outside of the ring, Matt Hardy was shown backstage with Mike Adamle.

Adamle: Matt Harvey -- *Hardy! How do you feel about defending your 'European
Title' against 'Fit' JBL in a 'Bullrope Brawl' match this Sunday, at 'Armadillo'?

Matt: ....... Go take a break, Mike.

Adamle: Huh? But the interv--

Matt: Now.

Mike Adamle nearly teared up, but did what he was told and left. Matt stayed there, as he wasn't
done speaking yet.

Matt: Now that that's taken care of, I feel the need to remind my challenger,
JBL, about him not going to beat me and whatnot. JBL... Whether our match at Armageddon --

Adamle: Armageddon! That's what it was...I was close, though.

Matt: Get!

Adamle: Hmph! Ok...

Matt: As I was saying, whether the two of us fight in a Texas Bullrope Match,
Ladder Match, Cage Match, or whatever...You will NEVER get this title!

???: But what about me?

Matt Hardy turned around, only to find out that the person who just asked that question was none
other than Shelton Benjamin!

Matt: Yeah? What about you? Here to be a spoil sport and attack me after
the match again?

Shelton: No. I'm here to set the gold standard...I'm challenging you for that
Intercontinental Title that should be around my waist...I want a match for it after you're done with JBL...
If you can beat him, that is.

Matt: And why should you get a title shot?

Shelton: Because I'm the Gold Standard! I'm the best pure athlete this
business has to offer, and I'm tired of getting the small end of the straw! I tell you what, you
accept a title match with me if I say....Beat Hardcore Holly in less than a minute up next. Sound
alright?

Matt: That desperate, huh? Good luck with that...I don't book the matches,
but if you do live up to your word, then I'll put in a good word for you when I talk to Teddy later.
Well, good luck in your match tonight, champ!

Shelton: Same to you......

Matt left Shelton to get prepared for his match later on tonight.

Shelton: ......Chump.

Raw then went to a commercial break.

Raw came back on the air, as Hardcore Holly's theme song hit the PA. Holly made his way to
the ring receiving hardly any fan reaction. Suddenly, while Holly was still walking down the ramp,
Shelton Benjamin ambushed him from behind.

Michael Cole: And what's the meaning of this?!

Shelton had the advantage from the sneak attack, however Holly started fighting back, trading
fists with Benjamin. Shelton then kicked Holly in the groin, and followed up by super-kicking Holly.
Afterwards, Shelton picked Holly up and bashed his face against against the ring pole a few times,
then Irish Whipped the veteran to the steel stairs, where Holly crashed hard. Shelton picked Holly
up again, and this time threw him into the ring, where the "match" could officially start.

Match 2 - Hardcore Holly vs. Shelton Benjamin

Holly could hardly defend himself as he barely started to stand on his feet. Once Holly stood up and
turned around, he was nailed by a fast and devastating "Paydirt" on behalf of Shelton Benjamin. Shelton
wasted no time as he covered Holly for the pin-fall: "1, 2, 3!"

Michael Cole: I can't believe it! Shelton Benjamin...That scum!

King: Hahaha! Technically, Shelton DID defeat Hardcore in less than a minute!
You gotta give the Gold Standard props for his strategic thinking!

As Shelton celebrated in the ring, he grabbed a microphone and started to speak.

Shelton: AIN'T NO STOPPIN' ME, NAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The crowd continued to boo Shelton. Meanwhile, Randy Orton and Elijah Burke were backstage
discussing Burke's match with Batista up next.

Elijah: So...You're sure I'm going to win?

Orton: Yes. Positive! There's no way Botchtista's gonna defeat you. I mean,
look. I'm in your corner tonight, so that's already a sure claim to your victory. Also, if you look at the
record book, you'll notice Batista's lost every single match he's been in since I was cleared to wrestle
again. You have this, man! You have this...

Elijah and Randy then left to head to the arena as Raw went to a commercial break.

As Raw came back on the air, Batista's theme hit the PA system. The Animal made his way to
the ring receiving a huge pop from the audience.

Michael Cole: The Animal, Batista! Wow, he's accomplished so much in his
career, but his career could be in jeopardy this Sunday at Armageddon when he faces Randy Orton
in a Last Man Standing match!

King: Bah! Batista's career is over this Sunday as far as I'm concerned!
No one overcomes The Legend Killer when it comes to Last Man Standing...Just ask Triple H!

Elijah Burke's theme hit the PA afterwards. Burke walked down to the ring being accompanied
by Randy Orton. Both superstars received jeers from the crowd as they made their way to the ring.

Match 3 - Batista vs. Elijah Burke with Randy Orton

As soon as the starting bell rang, Burke ran up to Batista and punched him in the face a few times,
with hardly any damage being applied to the Animal. Batista retaliated by knocking Burke down with
a clothesline. Batista then picked Burke up and held him in a military-press position. Batista walked
over in the ring near the side where Orton was standing at on the outside of the ring, and tossed Burke
on Orton. Orton erupted out of anger and tried to enter the ring to fight Batista, but the referee didn't
allow him to do so. Orton argued with the ref for a moment, which gave Burke some time to crawl under
the ring and emerge from the other side behind Batista. Batista kept talking trash to Orton and vice-versa
while Orton was still standing on the apron. Burke took advantage by giving Batista a low-blow from
behind, then turned him around to plant the Animal with a DDT. Orton stopped arguing with the ref, so
he could count Burke's pin-fall on Batista afterwards: "1, 2 --" Batista kicked out! Burke, frustrated,
picked Batista up, but Batista kneed Burke in the gut, and followed up by putting Burke out with a
spine-buster. Batista taunted to the crowd letting them know the that "The end is near for Elijah
Burke." Batista walked over to the corner of the ring and waited for Burke to stand up again. Batista
had a spear in store for his opponent. Once Burke stood up, though, Orton jumped into the ring and
gave Burke an RKO! The referee immediately called for the disqualification bell, as Orton quickly got
back out of the ring and headed up the ramp.

Michael Cole: What...Was THAT all about?!

King: You know...Orton told Burke that he'd win no matter what...And he was
right! Like always...

Batista was enraged from Orton screwing him out of another match. Batista then picked up Burke
and gave him a Batista Bomb out of anger as Orton watched. Batista was not done yet, as he threw
Burke out of the ring to apply more damage to him. Batista took a steel chair out from under the ring
and bashed it across the back of Elijah Burke. Batista then picked Burke up and smashed his face
against the ring pole. Batista finished Burke off afterwards, Batista Bombing him through the Spanish
Broadcast Table!

Michael Cole: Whoa! Batista certainly sent a message to Orton...

King: Yeah, and thankfully Batista was smart enough to use the useless
announce table for his work.

Michael Cole: I hope those other two can't understand English...

Charlie Haas was backstage preparing for his match when one of the trainers came up to him.

Trainer: Hey, Charlie. Your match is next!

Haas: Forizzle?

Trainer: Yes.

Haas: Word up!

Charlie Haas started making his way to the arena as Raw went to a commercial break.

Raw was back on the air as JTG's theme hit the PA system. JTG made his way to the ring,
"Crip-Walking" and received a huge pop from the fans.

Michael Cole: JTG, a very talented young athlete. You usually see him with
his partner Shad Gaspard, but he couldn't make it here tonight.

King: That makes me the saddest man alive...

Suddenly, Charlie Haas' theme hit the PA, as Haas made his way to the ring, receiving jeers
from the crowd.

Michael Cole: Charlie Haas really stepped his foot in his mouth two weeks
ago when he confronted Cryme Tyme. But will he be successful tonight?

King: Uh...Chyeah?

Match 4 - JTG vs. Charlie Haas

As the starting bell rang, both superstars locked up. Shortly afterwards, Haas kneed JTG in the gut
a couple times, then gave him a front suplex. Haas then ran to the ropes and attempted a Moonsault
from there, but JTG blocked Haas by putting his knees up just when Haas landed. When both men
stood back up, JTG knocked Haas back down with a drop-kick. JTG started to feel momentum as he
taunted to the fans. JTG took his eyes off of Haas only for a second but soon regretted it as Haas
tripped JTG, and JTG slammed face first into the ring pad on the turnbuckle. Haas walked to the
center of the ring, and soon rushed up to JTG in the corner, attempting a clothesline, but JTG moved
out of the way just in time for Haas to crash into the turnbuckle. JTG then attempted a front suplex
to Haas, but Haas reversed it when he landed on his feet behind JTG. Afterwards, Haas, gave JTG
a German suplex. Haas wanted to end the match there, so he locked JTG in the Cross-legged STF
submission hold. JTG couldn't make it to the ropes, and couldn't hold on much longer. He was forced
to tap out after a moment.

Michael Cole: Wow...What a victory for Charlie Haas! I don't like his attitude,
but he does back up his words...

King: Funny, because I think he can back up his words...AND I like his attitude!

Michael Cole: Well never-the-less...Matt Hardy and Kofi Kingston take on The
Miz and JBL!

The Miz was in JBL's locker room while JBL was out for a minute. Apparently, Miz was comparing
their hats to each other.

Miz: This cowboy hat is kinda pimp! If I had some fur-boots to go with this...Whoo!

JBL came back in his room, and looked a bit unpleased with Miz trying his hat on.

JBL: AGH! Stop playing around...Our match is next.

JBL and Miz then left the locker room to head to the arena as Raw went to a commercial break.

Raw came back on the air, as Matt Hardy's theme blasted the PA system. The Intercontinental
Champ made his way to the ring receiving a massive pop from the crowd. Kofi Kingston's theme
then hit the PA soon afterwards. Kofi received just as huge a pop as Hardy got as he made his way
to the ring with his partner.

Michael Cole: Two of the brightest young stars today, teaming up! How
great is this?

King: Teh! They're alright...But not as good as these guys!

Suddenly, JBL's theme hit the PA system. JBL and Miz both came out of JBL's limo as it drove
up the ramp.

Michael Cole: These two superstars don't mind talking a good game....
But let's see if they can back it up in the ring...

Match 5 - Tag Team - Matt Hardy and Kofi Kingston vs. JBL and The Miz

Matt Hardy and The Miz were the first two superstars to start the match off as the bell rang. Matt
and Miz stared each other in the eyes before either of the two made a move. Soon afterwards, Miz
slapped Hardy in the face. Hardy simply smirked, and then retaliated by knocking Miz down with a
right-hook. Hardy followed up with an elbow drop to Miz's gut. Afterwards, Hardy picked Miz up and
Irish Whipped him to the corner turnbuckle. Hardy then attempted a running clothesline on Miz, but
Miz gave Hardy a boot to the face as he ran toward him. The effect caused Matt to step a few feet
back. Miz didn't allow Matt to recover as he ran up to Matt attempting a clothesline, but Matt countered
it and reversed it into a Side-effect. A moment later, both men rose to their feet and went to their
corners to make the tag to their partners. Once JBL and Kofi entered the ring, JBL attempted a
running big boot to Kofi, but Kofi ducked the boot and gave JBL a neck-breaker. Kofi taunted following
that, and then gave JBL a taste of he "Soul Shakedown." Kofi then went to the corner and climbed
the top rope, preparing to splash JBL, but Miz attacked Kofi before he could leap. Afterwards,
Matt quickly rushed over to Miz and clotheslined him, which took both men out of the ring. JBL
started to stand up again, but that didn't stop Kofi from leaping off the top rope. Once Kofi dived
at JBL, JBL thought fast and rolled out of the way, causing Kofi to crash on the mat hard. Once
Kofi stood back up, JBL attempted "The Clothesline from Hell", but Kofi ducked it which caused
JBL to keep running to the other side of the ropes. Once JBL ran back to Kofi again, Kofi nailed
him with the "Trouble in Paradise" 450 Kick. Kofi covered JBL for the pin-fall: "1, 2, 3!"

Michael Cole: Oh my God!!!!!! Kofi pinned the No.1 Contender! I think that
could put him in the running for the Inercontinental Title!

King: Wow! Earlier Shelton Benjamin proved he should be in line for an
Intercontinental Title shot, now Kofi!

Matt and Kofi celebrated their win as they walked back up the ramp. A moment later, Charlie Haas
was seen backstage talking to General Manager, Theordore Long and Co-General Manager, Armando
Estrada.

Haas: You see what I did out in that ring earlier? I made that little punk, JTG
tap OUT!!! Now why won't you give me a title shot??? Huh? Any title would do...

Teddy: Well, Charlie, you make up some good points. That was an impressive
victory you had over JTG. However, you need to pick up some more wins before I consider you worthy
of a title shot, Playa.

Armando: Aww, come on nao, Teddy. I think joo should geave Charlie Haas
some kind of title opportunity.

Teddy: I will...When he earns it!

Haas: Ah, cut the crap! Earn it? I'm one of the most talented stars on this show
and you're holdin' me back, G! You give no-talent pieces of crap like Cena and Batista title shots, but
you just hold back people like me...Why is that? I'm better than anyone here! That's including any champion!

Suddenly Kane walked up to Charlie Haas.

Teddy: Any champion, huh?

Haas: Well...You see...I was only referring to the....Err...Uh...What the heck!

Haas, out of assaulted Kane when he raked Kane in the eyes. Haas didn't want Kane to retaliate
so Haas ran away from Kane, Teddy, and Armando, and soon headed back into the arena. Kane
immediately followed him.

King: Bold move by Haas, I guess?

Michael Cole: Ugh! Why does he have to come out here? I don't wanna
witness this massacre that's about to happen!

Charlie Haas ran to ringside. He then looked under the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Afterwards,
Kane walked out to the ring to confront Haas. Haas attempted to hit Kane with the chair, but Kane
gave Haas a big boot before Haas could attack. Kane then threw Haas into the ring, and soon entered
in it himself. When Haas stood up, Kane gave him a devastating choke-slam in the middle of the
ring. Afterwards, Kane laughed sadistically as he left the ring to head backstage.

A moment later, John Cena was shown backstage, making his way to the arena for his match.

Michael Cole: Some odd events that just transpired a moment ago...But
looking forward, he have John Cena vs. World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho...NEXT!

Raw went to a commercial break.

A few moments later Raw was back on the air. John Cena's entrance music hit the PA system
as Cena made his way to the ring, receiving a huge pop from the fans.

Michael Cole: John Cena has a grueling task this Sunday at Armageddon,
and that same grueling task he has then, he also has tonight!

King: I've been dying to see this match all night! We can finally see Jericho
shut Cena up for good...Well, at least until Armageddon, haha!

Michael Cole: Well, out of whoever wins tonight...This could definitely be a
result of things to come at Armageddon. You can't ask for a better preview than this!

John Cena waited in the ring for Jericho to show up, but after a minute passed, there was still no
sign of Jericho coming out.

Cena: Ah, come on, Chris! We've been through this before...Stage fright is
a common fear....But we all over come it someday!

A minute later passed, and Jericho still didn't come out.

Cena: You to afraid to come out, then? Well, if that's the case...I guess I can
come back there and motivate you to come out MYSELF!!!

Cena was about to exit the ring, but suddenly, all of the lights went pitch black.

Michael Cole: Oh...No...I don't like the looks of this.

King: The Dead Man!!

Undertaker wasn't in the arena, but his voice was heard from the speakers.

Undertaker: Cena....Hurry up!....The clock...Is ticking....You'll be too late...
To save them.

Cena looked frightened after hearing what The Undertaker just said. Suddenly, Cena rushed out of
the ring and ran to the backstage area. Cena immediately rushed over to Jericho's locker room door.
Cena wasted no time as he kicked the door down and ran into the room. He found Jericho lying on
the floor, his face covered in blood.

Cena: HELP!!! HELP!!! Somebody get some help!!!

Officials rushed to Jericho's locker room to tend to him. Cena then ran out of Jericho's locker
room and headed for a different location.

King: Whoa! I can't believe what we just saw! Well...I guess Cena was too
late to save Chris Jericho...

Michael Cole: Wait! But Undertaker said "Save them." That means there's someone --
Oh...no.

Cena soon arrived at Shawn Michaels' locker room door and soon kicked it down. Cena rushed into
the room and froze in shock after witnessing the most sick, sadistic, and cruel thing to ever happen in
Sports Entertainment...Shawn Michaels was hanging from a rope tied to his neck, that was attached
to the ceiling. Cena quickly untied the rope and released Michaels. Officials soon ran in the room afterwards
to tend to Michaels. The announcers were too shocked to say anything about the situation. As Raw went
off the air, the fate of The Heartbreak Kid was uncertain...

I loved the ending and the Charlie Haas promo.

Adamle was hilarious.
