Week 1

Pyro goes off as thousands of fans are in attendance for a sold-out Monday Night Raw.

Michael Cole: Good evening, folks! Welcome to Monday Night Raw! Jerry
"The King" Lawler and I will call tonight's show, and boy do we have some card tonight!

King: No kidding, Cole! Tonight, we have a blockbuster main event as
John Cena will take on Batista, and the winner will become the new No.1 Contender for Chris
Jericho's WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and face him for it at Armageddon. To start the show
off though, there's going to be a 10-Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal to determine who will be the
No.1 Contender for Matt Hardy's Intercontinetal Title!

Michael Cole: Which is coming up now!

King: I just said that...Are you trying to get the last word or something?

The combatants made their way to the ring as the first match was about to begin.

Match 1 - No.1 Contender's Battle Royal - Intercontinetal Title

Super Crazy vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Charlie Haas vs. JTG vs. Shad vs. Deuce vs. JBL
vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Colin Delaney vs. Cody Rhodes

The starting bell rang, as all participants started to fight each other. JBL ran up to
Colin Delaney, then knocked him out with a big boot to the head. JBL then made quick work
out of Colin as he tossed the young superstar over the top rope for the first elimination.
Dreamer was furious with JBL afterwards and started to attack him. However, JBL took
out Dreamer easily as he kicked him in the gut, and lifted him up for the Power Bomb,
only to throw Dreamer over the top rope afterwards for the second elimination. Meanwhile,
Kofi and Super Crazy were brawling. Crazy ran up to Kofi, but Kofi lifted Crazy up into the
air and tossed him back to where Super Crazy was on the other side of the ropes, holding
on by a thread. Kofi then gave Super Crazy a kick to the side of the head, causing Super
Crazy to fall off the apron onto the floor for the third elimination.

Michael Cole: Jamaican me "super crazy", Kofi!

King: Uh....yeah...

Meanwhile, JBL lifted Deuce up with both arms and tossed him out of the ring for the fourth
elimination.Shad and Rhodes were fighting near the ropes, both trying to toss each other
out. Shad and Rhodes were both leaning half way over the top rope grabbing each other, when
Haas ran up to both of them, lifting them up all the way over the ropes, eliminating those two.
JTG then confronted Haas, and started to exchange unpleasant words with him. Haas then
kicked JTG in the groin and threw him over the top rope, eliminating JTG as well. Haas, Kofi,
and JBL were the final three men in the match still. Kofi ran up to Haas, and before Haas
could react, we was nailed by Kofi's "Trouble in Paradise." Haas was knocked back, now leaning
against the ropes. JBL then ran up to Haas and executed the "Clothesline from Hell" to him,
which knocked Haas out the ring for an elimination. Kofi and JBL then started to exchange
punches, as the final two were duking it out to become the new no.1 contender for the
Intercontinetal Championship. JBL swung his arm at Kofi, but Kofi ducked and delivered a
dropkick to JBL, sending him back to the edge of the ropes. Kofi then ran up to JBL, but
JBL lifted Kofi up instead, and threw him over the top rope. However, Kofi was still hanging
on from the opposite side of the ropes, until JBL gave him a boot to the head, knocking him
out on the floor for the final elimination.

Segment 1

Michael Cole: Kofi really did Jamake me crazy with his almost victory!

King: Uh...yeah...And the key word there was almost. JBL won, just like
I knew he would! Oh, shh!!! JBL's about to grace us with a victory speech.

JBL: What you people just witnessed was only a sample of what's going to
happen next week... When I destroy your precious Matt Hardy!!! There's no way a paper champ
like him will be able to keep up with the Wrrrrrrestling.....GOD!!!!

The crowd was fed up with JBL's trash talk. Suddenly, Matt Hardy's music hit, and the fans
started to cheer wildly. Matt made his way down to the ring, then confronted JBL, looking
him straight in the eye.

Matt Hardy: Hey, tough guy! I couldn't hear you quite well from way back there. Mind
repeating what you just said to my face?!

JBL: Hardy, you don't intimidate me at all! You're just a little cry baby who whines
over losing matches and girlfriends to main event players! And next week, that Intercontinetal
Title of yours will belong to--

Hardy cut JBL off as he gave him a "Twist of Fate."

Matt Hardy: Me!

Matt Hardy started to celebrate in the ring with his title as the crowd cheered him on. Raw then
went into a commercial break.

Segment 2

Moments later, Shelton Benjamin's music hit, as the crowd started to boo him when he walked
out. Shelton then entered the ring and grabbed a microphone, preparing to talk.

King: Look out! Shelton's on the mic!

Shelton Benjamin: What kind of low-rate match did we all just witness a few moments ago?!
A Battle Royal to determine the no.1 contender for the Intercontinetal Championship? How come the
most decorated Intercontinetal Champion of all-time wasn't in that match?! I have more talent in my
left pinkie than all 10 of those other losers combined! I'm tired of not getting the respect I deserve
in this business. I DEMAND a shot at the Intercontinetal Title, that belt rightfully belongs to me! And
there's no one who can stand in my way of achieving that goal.

Suddenly, Hardcore Holly's music hit, and Holly made his way to the ring to confront Shelton.

Shelton Benjamin: What....do you want?

Hardcore Holly: I want young rookies like you to keep their mouths shut! But since "you
people" won't shut up when nicely asked to, then it looks like I'm gonna have to shut you up the hard
.... and fun way.

Shelton Benjamin: "You people?" What, you mean us BLACK people?! You want to come
out and start something with me just 'cause I'm black, huh?

Hardcore Holly: No....Just 'cause you suck!

At that moment, Holly dropped his microphone and started to attack Shelton Benjamin, while Shelton
fought back. A few moments later, a referee came out and turned this brawl into an official match.

Match 2 - Shelton Benjamin vs. Hardcore Holly

Shelton and Holly continued to exchange punches to the face as the starting bell rang. Shelton
then kicked Holly in the gut, and gave him a front suplex. Afterwards, Shelton picked Holly up, then
Irish Whipped him to the corner turnbuckle. Shelton ran up to Holly attempting a "Stinger Splash",
but Holly moved out of the way at the last second causing Shelton to collide with the turnbuckle.
Holly took advantage of the situation and gave Shelton a German Suplex, and attempted a pin after
it: "1, 2 --" Shelton kicked out. Holly picked Shelton up then attempted to Irish Whip him toward
the turnbuckle, only to have Shelton reverse the whip instead and sent Holly in that direction.
Afterwards, Shelton rushed up to Holly on the turnbuckle, then jumped onto the middle of the
turnbuckle, repeatedly punching Holly in the face. Holly took the shots to the face as he lifted
Shelton up by his legs and walked over to the middle of the ring with Shelton as he then spun
him around. Holly stopped spinning Shelton, then slammed him down hard with his signature
"Alabama Slam." Holly went for a second pin-fall cover: "1, 2, 3!"

Michael Cole: That was some match! Let's hope that Shelton Benjamin got some
sense of respect beaten into him by the veteran, Hardcore Holly.

King: Pfft! Holly cheated!

Michael Cole: What?! I don't think we watched the same match...

King: Shelton was unprepared and wasn't originally scheduled to compete tonight...
I bet Holly set him up since he was obviously prepared to compete!

Michael Cole: And they say people are losing their sense of imagination...

Holly left the ring and was walking up the ramp. He then stopped and looked back at the ring,
and noticed Shelton Benjamin glaring at him. Holly simply shook his head at Benjamin, then went
backstage to clean up. Raw then went to a commercial break.

Segment 3

As Raw came back on the air, Rey Mysterio's music hit as Rey walked down to the ring,
preparing for a match. The crowd cheered wildly for Rey. Afterwards, The Miz's music hit,
though the crowd booed Miz while he made his way to the ring, accompanied by his partner
and co-holder of the World Tag Team Titles, John Morrison.. When The Miz entered the ring,
he simply ignored Rey and grabbed a microphone. Miz started blasting out at the fans for booing
him.

Miz: Shut up! I SAID SHUT UP! I apologize to all you hatin' guys for stealing your
girls, and to all you other girls booing....Well, I apologize for rejecting you ugly bimbos! But pay
homage to the Chick Magnet and Shaman of Sexy when we grace the presence of...Whatever
city we're in...

Morrison: That's right!

The crowd booed Miz and Morrison even more. Rey got too impatient hearing The Miz babbling
on and on, so he finally attacked the Miz, and the referee signaled for the starting bell to ring.

Match 3 - Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz with John Morrison

Rey punched Miz in the face, but Miz responded by shoving Rey down, and kicked him in
the gut afterwards. Miz then started to stomp Rey repeatedly, then picked him up and Irish
Whipped him to the turnbuckle. Afterwards, Miz ran toward Rey, but Rey gave him a boot to the
face when Miz came up to him, knocking Miz down on both knees. Rey then climbed to the top
rope of the turnbuckle, and leaped off heading towards Miz, giving him a Bulldog when he landed.
Rey went for the pin-fall cover: "1, 2 --" Miz kicked out. Afterwards, Rey picked up Miz, but soon
after he did, Miz shoved Rey back and knocked him down with a running clothesline. Miz then
picked Rey up and attempted a front suplex on him, but Rey reversed it by landing behind Miz
and drop kicking him to the middle of the ropes. Rey was getting ready for the "619", but Morrison
ran up to and stood on the other side of the ropes, catching the referee and Rey's attention. Rey
walked near the ropes where Morrison stood and started to exchange words with him. Miz took
advantage of the situation and ran toward Rey while his back was turned and attempted a running
knee attack, but Rey moved out of the way and Miz kneed Morrison instead, knocking him down to
the floor. Rey then rolled up Miz from behind for the pin-fall: "1,2,3!"

Michael Cole: That's a perfect example of karma! What a win
for Rey Mysterio!

As Rey Mysterio was celebrating, John Morrison entered the ring and started to attack Rey.
The Miz joined his partner in the attack a few seconds later. Morrison propped Rey up, then
the Miz ran up to Rey and knocked him out with "The Reality Check." Morrison added insult
to injury when he gave Rey a Corkscrew Neckbreaker afterwards. The Tag Team Champions
celebrated in the ring and held their titles up as Rey was out cold.

Michael Cole: That was just uncalled for! Those two are such
sore losers!

King:...What was that about karma again?

Randy Orton was seen backstage heading toward the arena. Orton was apparently injured
still as his cast was on his arm. Raw then went to a commercial break.

Segment 4

Randy Orton's entrance music hit. The crowd gave Randy a mixed reaction as he walked
down to the ring.

Randy Orton: I'm sorry!

King: Huh? What's this about?

Michael Cole: Beats me...

Randy Orton: I'm sorry that you fans have to watch such a snore-fest
of a main event tonight, watching Mr. "I've Cenanuff" and "Boretista" "wrestle" each other in a No.1
Contender's match!

The crowd gives Orton a mixed reaction. Some fans couldn't stand Orton's insults, while the
others completely agreed with him.

Randy Orton: I promise you all, when I get better, I WILL become
champ again! It's no secret that I've been the best World Champion to ever grace a WWE ring,
or how I was the star attraction of Evolution--

Randy Orton was cut off, as Batista's entrance music hit. Batista appeared and then began
to make his way to the ring.

Batista: "Star Attraction of Evolution" Huh? Yes! Oh yes! You
were so great....That we kicked you out!

Randy Orton: That's because you all were jealous of me and my
accomplishments. You were nothing more than hired muscle who got lucky at the Royal Rumble
nearly four years ago. You can't hang in with any champion now, although Triple H wasn't that
much of a champion to begin with.

Batista: Is that so? Which is why he defeated you on three separate
occasions to capture the World Title?

Randy Orton: I've had it up to here with you, Dave! What do you want?!
If you're looking for a fight, why not wait 'til I completely recover....Which will be a LOT sooner than you
expect.

Batista: No....I'm too impatient of a guy--

Batista hit Orton with a left hook, knocking him down. Batista left the ring while the crowd cheered him on.

King: That wasn't fair! Orton's in no condition to compete. Batista's such a coward!

Kane was backstage making his way to the arena, with his Hardcore Tile on his shoulder.

Michael Cole: Well, King, this could be an unfair size advantage. Kane
defends the Hardcore Championship against Elijah Burke, next!

Raw goes to commercial break.

Segment 5

Elijah Burke was already in the ring, waiting for Kane. Burke kept himself busy while waiting by listening to himself speak.

Elijah Burke: I hope you all are ready for the Elijah Experience!

The crowd booed Burke.

Elijah Burke: Aww, come on! Don't boo my opponent, Kane. He deserves some respect!

Michael Cole: I don't think there are mirrors where Elijah Burke comes from...

Suddenly, Kane's entrance music burst out, as the Hardcore Champion made his way to the ring.

Match 4 - Kane (c) vs. Elijah Burke - Hardcore Championship

Burke drop-kicked Kane to the floor before he entered the ring. Burke then went outside the ring, and looked under the ring to find a steel chair. Burke picked the chair up and gave Kane a chair shot to the head, then went for the pin-fall cover: "1,2--" Kane kicked out. Kane was still lying down, but then grabbed Burke's neck and rose up. Kane then lifted Burke and threw him in the ring. Afterwards, Kane grabbed a table from under the ring and tossed it in the ring. When Kane entered the ring, Burke started attacking him again. Burke put Kane down with a DDT, then set the table up afterwards. When Kane got back on his feet, Burke shoved him to the corner turnbuckle with his back facing Burke. Burke then ran up to Kane attempting the "Elijah Express", but Kane moved out of the way right in time. Afterwards, Kane picked up Burke and choke-slammed him through the table, then went for the pin-fall: "1,2,3!"

Raw went to a commercial break as Kane celebrated with his title.

Segment 6

Shawn Michaels' entrance music hit, while Shawn made his way to the ring. He got a huge pop from the fans.

Shawn: Now I didn't come out here to whine and complain about not being in a No.1 Contender's match...Although, to be honest, that Cena and Batista fight would draw a lot more crowd attention with the ol' Showstopper added to the card! No offense to either of you, John, Dave, but I'm rooting for Jericho to retain that title. There's only one thing I want more than to get revenge on Jericho, and that's to become the World Heavyweight Champion one more time in my career!

The crowd rapidly cheers for The Heartbreak Kid.

Shawn: It's time to put you on notice, Y2J! If you somehow retain your title to either Cena or Batista, I'm gonna be gunning for you right afterwards!

The crowd continued to cheer for HBK, but soon stopped as Armando Estrada's entrance music hit. Armando received intense heat as he walked down to the ring.

Estrada: Haha, Shawn Michaels! You never...How you say "Seize to amaze me." If you're wondering why you're not in the main event with John Cena and Batista, it's because Teddy Long's not here tonight, and I've decided it would be better for business to keep you out.

The crowd booed Estrada, while HBK looked at him confused.

Estrada: Now, you see, the fans want to see this current generation of superstars at the top of the food chain....Not superstars "past their prime", which would be you.

Estrada could feel the hatred of the crowd toward him. HBK looked at Estrada sternly, but not angered.

Estrada: I am a fair man, though, Shawn. I'm willing to give you a No.1 Contender's Match for the World Heavyweight Title at Armageddon against an opponent. If you can beat this man at Armageddon, you can face the World Heavyweight Champion for the title at the Royal Rumble. That alright with you?

Shawn: Bring it on! Who is my opponent for that time then?

Estrada: Haha, I'm so glad you asked. Your opponent is a man who has been recently traded here to Raw. This man knows you quite well....In fact, he hasn't forgot when you eliminated him from The Royal Rumble earlier this year.

King: Wait...Could he mean--

Suddenly, the whole arena went pitch black. A few seconds later, all the lights were turned back on, but standing there in the middle of the ring with Shawn Michaels and Armando Estrada was none other than The Phenom, The Undertaker!

Estrada: Have fun, Shawn!

Undertaker gave HBK a big boot to the face that almost knocked his head off. Undertaker then picked Michaels up, then put him out with "The Last Ride." The crowd gave Undertaker a mixed reaction as Raw went to a commercial break.

Segment 7

The World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho made his way down to ringside. Y2J sat next to The King and Michael Cole to guest speak on commentary.

King: Welcome, champ! Good to have you on board!

Y2J: I know, thanks.

Michael Cole: How are you tonight, Chris?

Y2J: Can it, Junior.

John Cena's entrance music hit, as the Chain Gang Commander made his way to the ring for his match with Batista.

Y2J: Why is this guy wrestling so late in the main event? Doesn't Cena know all of his fans are in "beddy by" time now?

King: Hahaha! That was a good one!

Michael Cole: Let's just hope John Cena doesn't hear you say that...

Batista's entrance music hit, as The Animal made his way to the ring. Jericho had his eyes closed while Batista came out.

King: You still with us, Chris?

Y2J: Bah! Why did you wake me up? Batista's entrance is the only time I can get some good sleep in sixty seconds...

Main Event - John Cena vs. Batista - No.1 Contender's Match for the World Heavyweight Championship

John Cena and Batista both exchange punches to the face to start the match off. Batista swung his arm at Cena, but Cena ducked then gave Batista a back suplex. Afterwards, Cena taunted his opponent and gave Batista the "Five-Knuckle Shuffle." Cena then walked to the end of the ring close to the announce table and teased Jericho with his "You can't see me!" taunt. When Cena turned around, he was clotheslined by Batista. Batista then picked Cena up and gave him a front suplex, following with a pin-fall: "1,2,--" Cena kicked out. Batista then tried to pick Cena up again, but Cena kicked The Animal in the gut and gave him a DDT. Then out of no where, Randy Orton ran to the ring and stood behind Cena, with no cast. When Cena turned around, he was RKO'd. The referee immediately called for the bell, letting Cena get a disqualification victory. It was Orton's plan to get Batista disqualified. Orton then left the ring and grabbed a microphone.

Orton: What did I tell you, Dave? I wasn't lying when I said "I would completely recover a lot sooner than you think."

Batista then got outside the ring and chased Randy to the backstage area. Chris Jericho then got out of his seat and headed in the ring with a hurt Cena.

Michael Cole: I don't like this one bit!

Cena rose to his feet, but right afterwards, Jericho ran up to him and nailed him with the "Code Breaker." Jericho then locked Cena in "The Walls of Jericho" and wouldn't let go. It took multiple referees to come out and get Jericho off of Cena. Jericho then went outside the ring and grabbed his title belt. He kissed his belt and celebrated with it as Raw went off the air.
