CM Punk initially attempted to reclaim the title for a few months, but was unsuccessful. The feud between the two came to a halt as CM Punk was traded to Smackdown after Survivor Series. Intercontinetal Champion Current Champion Matt Hardy Previous Kofi Kingston John "Bradshaw" Layfield History Kofi Kingston defended this title against JBL at The Great American Bash, but ended up losing the title to The Wrestling God. JBL was able to hold onto the title until Unforgiven when he was defeated by Matt Hardy. The night after Survivor Series, though, JBL won a battle royal to become the No.1 contender for the Intercontinetal championship, renewing his feud with Hardy. World Tag Team Champions Current Champions John Morrison and The Miz Previous Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Cryme Tyme History Miz and Morrison vacated their WWE Tag Team Titles in August, in order to join the 'A' Show, Raw. In their debut, Miz and Morrison defeated Cryme Tyme, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a triple threat tag team match to win the World Tag Team Titles. Hardcore Champion Current Champion Kane Previous John "Bradshaw" Layfield History At Unforgiven, JBL was so upset about losing the Intercontinetal title, that later on in the night he claimed "Marshall Law" and claimed the Hardcore title that Vickie recently traded to Raw. Right after his announcement, though, Kane attacked him and won the title from him via the 24/7 rule.
